Dog Days of Summer

August is half over and the rest of the summer is going to fly by. We've had a couple of weeks at home to catch up on projects and relax. Uncle Will came out a few weekends ago to see his little niece and managed to say "Hey" to Anne and Aaron. We all went down to the lake for some fresh air before Aaron and Will headed to Miller Park for some Brewer's baseball.

Aaron's Uncle Morrie, Aunt Sue and cousin's Dani and Allie Borglum were on a family vacation the following week in Lake Geneva. They stayed at the beautiful Grand Geneva Resort. We took the short drive there to see them. We took a boat tour around the lake to see the mansions and learn a little history of the lake. We then did a little shopping and cooled off with some ice cream. We then went back to the resort where Morrie, Aaron and the girls did some indoor rock climbing and played a little tennis. The fun day was completed with some huge steaks for dinner and some games in the swimming pool. The Borglum's then came up to our house the following Friday night. We did some swimming here and the following day showed them a little bit of Milwaukee before they headed home. It was great to see them as they are always a good time and Aaron especially enjoys having someone to play the Nintendo with.

We headed up to Green Bay and Appleton on the 11th. We stayed with Anne's boss Mary and her mother Elna. We met some of Aaron's former co-workers at Perkins in Green Bay Sunday for lunch. We thought we had better dress Audrey in one of her Packer outfits (don't worry -- she is not going to be a cheesehead) since we were going to Green Bay. When Anne put it on her she cried for a while, but then I think she turned numb and had a dazed look in her eye -- as most Packer fans do. It was great to get back to Green Bay and see some friends.

That afternoon Anne's boss Mary hosted a BBQ at her house. Anne's co-workers got to come and meet Audrey and we got to see some more friends, their children and another new baby that was born a few weeks before Audrey. The food was awesome and it was great catching up with everyone.

Grandma McNulty is here this week giving us a helping hand which is always nice. We are headed back to Blue Earth this weekend for a wedding and Audrey will get to meet some more relatives. She is smiling all the time now and is cooing and making all sorts of fun noises. They really do change everyday. :)
