Audrey's First Fourth

Audrey's first holiday was pretty uneventful. She did her normal eating and sleeping, but we did manage to get her out for an afternoon walk on a local trail. She seemed to enjoy it -- but mom and dad got extremely hot! It was a nice walk on a beautiful day with our daughter -- so we can't complain. When we got home we put Audrey in her Red, White and Blue swimsuit that Cousin Jeremy, his wife Monica and their boys got for Audrey. She looked cute -- but like most women in a two piece -- Audrey found fault with it. She did pose for a couple pictures -- though it took a little coaxing!

We didn't go anywhere to watch fireworks because Audrey is still a little unpredictable, and we didn't feel like being stuck in traffic. So Aaron caught a view of some from outside of our front door with the neighbors while Anne and Audrey watched them on TV. It wasn't quite the same as in person but we'll go next year and get really close to them and see how scared Audrey gets. Should be a good time.

Audrey continues to grow and is starting to outgrow her smaller clothes. She is still only getting up once throughout the night which is nice. Trying to get her to go to sleep between 8 and 10 PM is a chore -- but we are coping. We just tell each other the longer she stays up during the day -- the more she'll sleep at night. So far it seems the same --but we'll assume we're on the right track.

We are going to be quite busy the rest of this summer -- so we'll still update the blog with pictures and information the best we can! We can't wait to see you all soon!
